TN MRB Dental Surgeon Model Question Paper

Hi everyone 

As the TN Medical Services Recruitment Board conducted an exam for the post of Assistant Dental Surgeon last year on 24th April 2025, a notification might be announced at any time.

Here, we are providing a few sample questions for those who are preparing for it.

1. Heterophile antibody test is used to diagnose which disease?

Infectious Mononucleosis.

This test is otherwise called the Mono test to diagnose Infectious Mononucleosis, primarily caused by Ebstein Barr Virus.

2. Hyperactive mentalis is seen in which kind of malocclusion?

Answer: Class II div 1.

Class II division 1 patients present higher mentalis activity than Class I patients especially when swallowing.

3. Stones, bones, abdominal groans and psychic moans are characteristic of

Hyperparathyroidism.

4. Cobblestone appearance of buccal mucosa is seen in Crohn’s disease.

This is the oral manifestation of Crohn’s disease characterised by linear ulceration and angular cheilitis. Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease often manifested first in the oral cavity, characterised by granulomatous inflammation.

5. The triad of Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome consists of

Facial oedema, Fissured tongue and Cheilitis granulomatosa.

6. Schilling test is abnormal in which condition?     

Intrinsic factor deficiency.

This test is used to diagnose Pernicious anaemia due to the lack of intrinsic factor. An abnormal value indicates impaired vitamin B12 absorption.

How to prepare for MRB dental entrance exam?

 

Hello everyone!

Hope all are doing good.


MRB Dental exam application:

TN Medical recruitment board exams are being conducted for all medical, dental, nursing, AYUSH candidates.

The Advertisement would be published in all leading newspapers and official website.

The mode of application would be via online mode and payment of exam fees in same way.

The previous exams were held in 2013 and 2014.


Mode of exam:

Question paper and OMR method.

The question paper would contain 200 Mcqs.

Duration will be two and half hours.

The question booklet would be collected back along with OMR sheet.

The selection will be based on written exam and performance in interview.
